Jacksonville, Fla. - Facing Futures Foundation For Pediatric Facial Disorders and Adamec Harley-Davidson invites the public to rev up their engines for a motorcycle ride benefiting children with facial deformities. Adamec's Ride For Smiles IV begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 16. The ride starts at the Adamec Harley-Davidson of Jacksonville located at 8909 Baymeadows Road.

Barry Steinberg, PhD, DDS, MD, FACS, Director of the Center for Pediatric Craniofacial Disorders and President of the Facing Futures began his mission in the mid-1990's. Facing Futures was established to enhance the health and well being of pediatric patients with facial disorders.

"Whether the children are overseas or right in our own backyard, I want to help them," said Steinberg." And one of the best parts about Steinberg's foundation, all the medical attention his young patients receive is absolutely free.

Facing Futures has raised enough money to fly young patients to Jacksonville from countries like Kenya, Ethiopia and Iraq. In 2008, the medical team hopes to help a child from the Philippines. Steinberg also organizes a medical mission to Vietnam where the foundation has been able to help hundreds of children with facial abnormalities.

Facing Futures is grateful to Adamec Harley-Davidson for their contribution in organizing and promoting this ride. Last year, their efforts helped the foundation raise more than 25-thousand dollars.

"In order for our team to help these children, we still need funding for hospitalization and other expenses. Thanks to Adamec Harley-Davidson, hundreds of riders will give their time and money to ride for the sake of improving children's lives abroad as well as here at home," said Steinberg.
